We believe everyone deserves good health and well-being to live a wonderful life. This comes from having a strong start in the first years. It means all families need to have access to affordable high quality early childhood experiences for their children. It means personal attention from people who pay attention. It means doing an excellent job because it is the right thing to do.

CommonSpirit St. Joseph’s Children offers the highest quality Joyful Parenting Partnership and case management from a foundation of service to others. Our goal is to insure that children reach kindergarten with the health and family capacity necessary to support learning. We have four primary strategies to reach this goal: Joyful Parenting Partnership, Referral Services/Case Management, Advocacy and Research. Because we believe in what we are doing so much, annually we invest 5.5% of our $100 million endowment into our work.

We are strengthened by being a part of the CommonSpirit network. We are the largest health care provider in the nation. We are a nonprofit health organization and our headquarters are in Denver, Colorado. We are a faith-based system that operates in 17 states and includes 104 hospitals; 30 critical access facilities; and two community health-services organizations, of which CommonSpirit St. Joseph’s Children is one.

CommonSpirit St. Joseph’s Children is about supporting the health of the whole community. By focusing on the health of your child, prenatally to 3 years old, and nurturing their healthy development we prevent illness long before it starts. We are responding to an alarm in New Mexico; we have the highest child poverty rate in the country. This represents one of the most urgent needs of our times – the need to give young children a healthy start.
